How to Train Your Dragon

I've watched another movie 'How to Train Your Dragon' from the Cressida Cowell book. The movie was a about a teenage boy named Hiccup who lives on an island where fighting dragons separates the men from the boys. Hiccup, a thin can't-fight-dragon, son of the Vikings' chieftain, Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler), Hiccup is definitely still a boy but he already reached the age where he must face the rite of passage of slaying a dragon. The problem is that Hiccup don't have the guts to kill a dragon.

Hiccup has no friends and is always saved by his father and villagers. He soon finds himself at a crossroads when he begins dragon training with the other youths in his tribe but Hiccup discovers that maybe the dragons fear the humans as much as they fear them.

Will Hiccup finally become the man his father wants him to be by killing a dragon, or will he change the way villagers believe about dragons? Watch the trailer!

Clash of the Titan 2010

I have watched Clash of the Titans yesterday with my boyfriend and the animation was amazing but the story is common. Familiar with Greek mythology? Zeus? Hades? Demi Gods? Medusa and etc? Well, they clashed. Hehehe... anyway, what made the movie good was Medusa. She was different... She has snake tail and She's ugly. How can she seduce when she looks like this? Tell me? Hahahaha.

How? I know how. Just close your eyes and don't look in the eye.

Hanna Montana Movie

I've watched Hanna Montana the Movie but it doesn't mean I like Hanna Montana! The movie was really funny. The actress Miley Cyrus was funny too. I mean she can make people laugh though.

The Hannah Montana The Movie 2009 is an American musical film adapted from the American teen comedy series, Hannah Montana. The movie was about how tortuous the popularity of Miley Stewart / Hannah Montana began to take over his life. At the urging of her father, Miley takes a trip to his hometown of Crowley Corners, Tennessee to get a perspective on what is most important in life.

Ratatouille

I've watched ratatouille many times but haven't seen it from the start not until yesterday. I've watched ratatouille yesterday with my nephew and that was the only time I appreciated the lesson of this movie. "Anyone can cook". Yes, I know that everybody does not have the talent to cook, not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere! That is what' the motto means "Anyone can cook".

This movie contains many lessons to learn, trust, honestly loyalty, family, friendship, career, work and more. This has become one my favorite movie: Ratatouile.

If you want to watch Ratotouille online, you can watch it @ onlinemoviedb.net or just click this link if you are in hurry.

Enjoy!

Love comes softly

Here another movie that I watched: Love comes softly. The story is really nice. This is about a young woman's dream to create a new life for herself on the great American plains. Marty (and Aaron Calridge have come west in search of fortune and a new life. But an unexpected tragedy leaves Marty a widow. With a bitter winter season approaching and no safe passage back home, she finds herself stranded with a recently widowed Clark Davis on his unusual offer--join him in a temporary marriage of convenience. Marty will have a roof over her head until the spring thaw when she can return home. In the meantime, Clark's nine-year-old daughter Missie will have a teacher. As promised, the arrangement is strictly business. However, teaching Missie, who's still mourning for her mother, becomes as challenging as living with Clark, a young man cut off from his emotions. For three similar people, each grieving for a loved one who they've lost, comfort comes from sharing their pain and hardships. But is it enough to make two lonely spirits recognize what it is that they truly need and want? As the months and seasons pass, and Marty gets closer to the day of her departure, she finally discovers the meaning of courage, her inner faith, a love she never thought possible, and the bittersweet truth in her friend Sarah's sage advice: "Bloom where you're planted."

Fire Proof Your Marriage

I can see many broken families, broken marriages and broken relationships. Families are fighting with each other... friends betraying one another and couples shouting together. I don't know what is happening to the world now. People are becoming selfish, unfair and rude. Many people take marriage easily... if one can't get along with each other, immediately the other partner will file a divorce without doing something to keep the relationship. Is that really the trend nowadays? Well, I am not a married person, I am just a 20 year-old girl who is so curious about whats happening to the society.

Why? Why married people act this way? When one couple can't get a long with each other... they leave their partner behind like their was nothing that link between them. I just don't understand why... marriage is something that couple should treasure... like the vow goes... " for better or for worst. for richer or for poorer. till death do as part". So, that means couple should never leave their partner behind. They should protect their marriage and FIRE PROOF it.

Please watch fireproof.

Stardust

I was watching Stardust movie last night with my sister and brother. Stardust is a fiction movie by Paramount Pictures, directed by Matthew Vaughn. The movie is based on Neil Gaiman's novel of the same name.

The movie was about this young boy named Tristan Thorn (Charlie Cox), a shop boy and is totally infatuated with the prettiest girl in the village named Victoria (Sienna Miller). But Tristan has a rival, who Victoria prefers and who humiliates Tristan in front of her. One night, Tristan convinces Victoria to come out to a night time picnic to look at the stars.

Under the same stars, on the other side of the wall in Stormhold, the King is on his deathbed, in the company of his still-surviving sons. The King takes the Power of Stormhold, a large ruby, and throws it out into the night sky, declaring that "he of royal blood" who first finds the ruby will become the next ruler of Stormhold. The stone turns clear and shoots up into the sky, colliding with a star, which then falls down to Earth.

Tristan, who is desperate to win Victoria's affection, claims he will bring to her the fallen star by her birthday, as that is the only way she will agree to marry him. Will he get the star? Found out by watching STARDUST!

Good quotes from Kung Fu Panda

A while ago, I was watching Kung Fu Panda with my 2- year old nephew. It was my first time to watch it from the start till the end. It was a really good movie. You can learn lots of lessons from it. Here are some good quotes from the movie:
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present. "

It is so true. Past is a past. Let it stay in the past. Tomorrow is something we don't know so let tomorrow worry itself. While today is a gift given to us, so let us treasure every second in our lives.

"To make something special you just have to believe it's special."

So true again. How can we make something special if we don't believe it's special? Trusting somebody that he can do it is the best attitude we should show.

" There are no accidents."

I believe this too. Things that had happened and things that will happen are already planned.

Secret

Like I told you guys, I'm into Asian Movies lately. Just a while ago I was watching this romantic movie, Secret also known as "The Secret That Cannot Be Told". This is unique romantic between two excellent piano students.

High school student Lun (Jay Chou) transferred to the school that his father is teaching at. On the first day of his school, he met a cute and mysterious classmate Yu in the piano room. The two immediately had a mutual feeling and develop a shy romance around piano playing and bike riding. Inspite of their close relationship, Yu remains a mysterious and distant girl as she is often absent from school and seems to be full of secrets. When Lun tries to ask Yu, she whispers to him that she has a secret that cannot be told, a secret that can tear them apart.

A Moment to Remember

I was into Korean movies lately. I don't know what's happening to me now. I usually don't like watching Asian Movies but I think I'm starting to love it.

Yesterday, I was watching another Korean movie entitled "A Moment to Remember". The movie was about a woman who have an Alzheimer's disease. Slowly, she can no longer remember her family and her own husband. The only memory that kept working on her mind was her ex-boyfriend who dumped her. Now, her husband tried to bring together all the missing memories of her mind...

Will he be successful in making her memories back? Watch A Moment to Remember.

Enjoy!

Daisy

After the tiring day of gathering data for my thesis, I decided to give my self a break and watch what my friend had told me to watch: DAISY. I thought this movie was the same as what usual Korean Movies are. But I was wrong.

Daisy is tragic love story. This is about a cop and assassin who fall in love with the same girl (Jeun Ji Hyun from My Sassy Girl).

Everyday at 4:15, someone would send her a daisy at her doorstep without knowing who send it. She was eager to who the guy was without knowing that the guy was just looking her from a far copying what she is doing.

One day, a cop came to her and asked her to paint him and it so happened that the cop had a daisy with him. She thought that the cop was the one sending her a daisy everyday.

Watch the movie here and know what happened at the end.

iL Mare

Il Mare, a Korean love story acted by Jun Ji-hyun from My Sassy Girl. This movie is somewhat a Korean version of Lake House that was played by Sandra Bullock.

The story was almost the same as Lake House but the ending was different. In this movie, the girl did not know the guy when they met... compared to Lake House, the lovers knew each other yet they even kissed badly. Lol

Anyway, I like Il Mare than Lake House because the ending shows that the guy will start from the beginning. He will tell all the stories that had happened to them. In Il Mare, future will be altered because the guy has changed the past. If you didn't understand my point, then better watch the movie here.

Fear Factor

I was watching a while ago this program Pinoy Fear Factor, hosted by Ryan Agoncillo. As the program goes on, I noticed that Pinoy Fear Factor is different from the original Fear Factor that was being shown in AXN.

The fear factor that I usually watch is really different from the pinoy fear factor because usually each opponent are not friends. They compete with each other... no time for bonding and etc. And also, pinoy fear factor is much longer than the original fear factor. Honestly, I don't like the program. Hehehe... PEACE.

My Sassy Girl

Have you watched My Sassy Girl already? How was it? Was the romantic-comedy movie good? Hmm... well, well, did you know that this movie is one of my ultimate favorite Asian movie? Yep! My Sassy Girl is really indeed a nice love story. This is a story of a girl who lost (dead) her beloved man and met another young man. But of course, it was not that easy....this sassy girl could not easily get rid of her boyfriend just like that. She had a hard time forgetting her man... she was afraid to start something new. So, she decided to go to other place, leaving the new man in her life whom she love also. She wants to think clearly and do the right thing.

There are more exciting stories to that. I cannot write the whole story here. If you have time, do watch My Sassy Girl. A lot of teenagers here like this movie. Many lovers can relate to this movie. So, you have to watch this too... especially to those who love watching asian movies. Click Here to Watch the Movie.

Mirrors
